The second OTW Youth Summit (OTW IFYS) is a gathering of youth from different communities across Cape Town with the purpose of action-based learning and discussion about gender based violence. Through this summit, we aim to connect youth to each other to share youth perspectives on gender based violence, expand tools for knowledge and skills building, and bolster individual and collective efforts to serve as agents of change. The specific focus for this year’s year summit is sexual harassment and bullying.

We are a cohort of diverse grass-roots organizations that have responded to the United Nations’ UNiTE to End Violence against Women “Orange the world”  campaign by mobilizing youth towards engagement in the Orange The World Youth Summit.

The OTW Youth Summit is led by The Madina Institute Center for Non Violence & Peace Studies in partnership with The United Nations Association of South Africa (UNASA), The Cape Town Interfaith Initiative (CTII), Africa Unite, The Muslim Refugees Association of South Africa (MRASA) and Amnesty International UCT chapter.
